A New Beginning
A New Beginning is one of those titles that makes you want at first glance. Rendering penciled, colored and very comic, not unlike the famous Runaway, which we will speak below. Rather flattering, right? This adventure game takes you in a snowy Moscow under the feet of powder, to the Eiffel tower blown by a tornado, or the Taj Mahal buried under the sand. These early visual set the tone: the plot will focus heavily on green causes, a post-apocalyptic aspect welcome. A sight for the first image and one of the two main characters who has a little family resemblance with Yann Arthus-Bertrand, as we had guessed. This will be in the shoes of a scientist working for the deprived developing a new alternative energy and a young woman claiming to be the future that you would struggle to prevent a major environmental catastrophe. More than 130 places, beautiful environments, if the gameplay and the puzzles below, we can expect a pleasant surprise.
Gray Matter
Gray Matter is a little Duke Nukem adventure game. Followers of big guys and babes who grind their, go your way, nothing to see. The point of similarity would rather the expectation and the eternal delay of the new game from Anaconda. Since 2006, the latest creation of the German studio makes us languish, but it is next winter we should be able to get their hands on this promising point click. Although few details have been disclosed, this is certainly a promising title, if only because that Jane Jensen, renowned designer and writer, is in charge. You can count on a plot of concrete, which we propose to embody David Styles, scientific recluse in a typical English manor and her assistant, Samantha Everett. We can expect a mix mystical universe, scientific intrigue and strange experiences of all kinds, all using, you might suspect, the various puzzles. And, for the title, presumably in terms of reflection, the title will make us drool.
Runaway: A Twist of Fate
Third chapter of the adventures of Brian Basco and Gina Timmins, Runaway: A Twist of Fate is definitely the adventure game the most anticipated of the year. It is enough because the developer of the previous titles had impressed players by the scenery as cartoon characters and funny dialogue worthy of the greatest Point & Click. Unfortunately for fans, this episode will not be following the second round but a story to share. We still expect a few winks in a good position from Pendulo to reveal a few minor details, pending a follow next. Gameplay side the latest studio Spanish gratifies us with several additions to the game easier for newcomers. Note therefore an insert to help show the interactive areas or a mode of rapid movement of a single double-click. More than a few months to wait and you will join our friend Brian in the psychiatric ward.
Sam & Max: Season 3
Thirteen years after the famous adventures of Sam, dog and rabbit detective Max, gamers have been able to enjoy new adventures with colorful, humorous and finely distilled from the duo in 2006, a new series of games divided into episodes. So forward we expect this new season, especially as it begins to be desired. Screenplay strippers, riddles difficult but effective, good at all in perspective. Some concern however about navigation: Telltale, always in control, has announced its intention to remove the pointer. But given the talent of the studio, we can expect a well thought out game, which, fingers crossed, we do not take away too much of the original point click.
Simon the Sorcerer 5
The Germans Silver Style to sign this new opus from the famous wizard, already released in Germany. The series, fifteen years older rather well and has still a good dose of nostalgia for fans point click. It is believed necessarily to Harry Potter, except that this is humor that makes the strength of the title. Do not be fooled by its design and color cartoon, references and other mature jokes muddy being regularly part. Exit the world of Hogwarts in the previous game, here is a crazy background and populated by hostile invaders space as the young sorcerer is found. A demo is available for several months, unfortunately only in German. For Germanophobe, not to worry since waits the arrival of the famous hero for this season.
The Whispered World
Atypical. This is the word that comes to mind when one begins to consider The Whispered World. Enchanting, too, and a bunch of superlatives of all kinds, as the world imagined by Deadalic seems buoyant and attractive. The German studio (still) looks set to take the player through a strange universe where the protagonist is a young clown sad. This point & click can therefore control the boy, Sadwick, Spot and his companion, able to change shape to better address the challenges facing the two characters. In a world born of fairy tales, and yet sets borrowing of melancholy, the goal is to help them see through a mysterious prophecy. The sets were, guarantee quality, entirely drawn and animated by hand, and the result could not be more careful. There are a universe so taking, but also engaging characters and varied puzzles, a game that promises to be poetic and undoubtedly artistically successful.
